Training sessions

Whether you have a young or old dog, you can find help with foundational or specific training (such as loose-lead walking, recall, greeting people without jumping up, dropping toys or other items, going to the dog bed and settling, scentwork and more) by booking a 1:1 training session with Marie.

1:1 training can be booked as an one-off training consultation or a discounted package of sessions depending on you and your dog's specific needs. All training sessions are in-person and you have the choice between 30-minute or 1-hour sessions.

  • If you are looking for group training classes , you will find them here.

Please note: Dog training sessions are not appropriate for addressing behaviour problems. If it is suspected that the problems you are experiencing with your dog are caused by anxiety, fear, aggression, separation anxiety, resource guarding or other negative emotions, you will be invited to book a behaviour consultation which includes a complete behaviour modification programme, intensive behavioural support and correspondence with your veterinary team. If this sounds like what you and your dog need, please keep reading below.

Dog Behaviour Modification

Behaviour consultations are the service you need if your dog has been displaying concerning behaviours like:

  • Aggression (toward dogs or people)
  • Fears or phobias (e.g. to noises, people)
  • Separation anxiety
  • Resource guarding
  • Destructiveness
  • Excessive barking
  • Marking and inappropriate urination

Ingenious Dogs is not currently offering behaviour counselling services.

If you do require behavioural support, Marie will be able to signpost you toward local trusted & qualified behaviourists,
or alternatively, you can search the practitioner directory of the Animal Behaviour & Training Council
or International Canine Behaviourists.
